Come, See The Place Where The Lord Lay.

Come, See The Place Where The Lord Lay.

In Matthew 28:1–10, the angel’s invitation to the women at the tomb was not meant to stay in that moment, it echoes through time and reaches us today. “Come and see” is more than a simple request; it is an invitation to witness the undeniable evidence of Christ’s victory over death. The empty tomb stands as a powerful testimony of His love; love that went to the cross, bore our sin, and rose in triumph.

But the invitation doesn’t stop there. The angel also tells them to “go quickly and tell,” reminding us that an encounter with the risen Jesus is never meant to be kept to ourselves. First, we are called to come and see; to examine, to reflect, to believe. Then, we are called to go and share the hope, joy, and new life we have found in Him.

This passage invites us not just to observe the resurrection, but to experience it personally. To come face-to-face with the reality that Jesus is alive, that His promises are true, and that His power is still at work today. The same power that rolled the stone away is the power that brings life to what feels dead in us; our hope, our faith, our purpose.

As we step into this invitation, we are reminded that resurrection is not just an event we celebrate, it is a life we are called to live. Come and see the evidence of His love. Come and experience the power of His life… and then go and live as witnesses of the risen King.
