What Makes a Short-Term Mission?

Share the Gospel

Present the Gospel message.

Encourage Missionaries

Come alongside those serving in the field.

Support Existing Ministry

Contribute to established missionary work.

Reach Beyond

Model global evangelism and outreach.

Grow in Faith

Grow spiritually through serving.

Live on Mission

Develop a lifelong heart for missions.

Short-term trips must partner with a full-time missionary or established ministry, preferably one already supported by Island FMC.

This helps ensure each trip contributes to long-term Gospel ministry and serves alongside—not independently of—the ministry already taking place.
